What is Home Automation?
It’s pretty much exactly what it sounds like. You’ve got it - an automatic home. And much like the first example that comes to people’s mind (a manual or standard car vs. an automatic), filling your house with home automation tools and appliances will ultimately allow your home to sit in the driver seat and take care of all the little gear shifting tasks while you’re out! We’ve slowly developed the technology to have our home manage itself using comprehensive and interactive software that opens networks and connects us to our homes and those we share it with. In a more basic sense, home automation is simply a concept or practice of automating traditionally manual efforts in your home and the way that all of our devices and appliances will be networked together to provide us with a seamless control over all aspects of our home and more on one device or account for ease and security. Home automation comes in various forms, and in some way or another you are likely already using an “automated product” in your home that slowly is leading you towards having a smart and interactive home environment. Traditional home automation tools that you will easily recognize could be as simple as:- Automatic locks and key pads / security systems
- Timed lighting
- Timed or thermostat regulated heating/AC
- Timed washer/dryer
